I wanted to tell you that your Copytrans program just rocks. Lost my entire iTunes library (83GB) and had resigned myself to rebuilding the entire thing from scratch which would have taken hundreds of hours and cost an arm, leg and then some. Saw your product on iLounge or Macworld and gave it a shot out of sheer desperation. Very well written tutorial, almost idiot proof in operation and boom, in just a few hours I had my entire library back with no information lost and zero file corruptions from my iPod classic. Excellent program, works exactly as advertised and at $20, is a screaming bargin considering what I could have been looking at. Plus, in addition to an external USB drive copy of my library now, I also know I can use your program to recover directly from the iPod if needed which is great.

I just wanted to say a big thank you for creating CopyTrans! Usually iPods work better than mp3 players, but I really freaked out when -after a computer failure and reinstalling Windows and everything- I noticed that putting back my music collection in my freshly re-installed iTunes is not enough: a few stupid XML files, that were now gone, had stored all my play counts, ratings, album art etc. All... gone, I panicked! What was Apple thinking, not simply storing all that inside the mp3 files?! Fortunately you build the application Apple really should have build and provided themselves. As I write this CopyTrans is busy pumping my music back into iTunes. 20 bucks well spent.

I recently purchased a copy of Copytrans after reading a recommendation at iLounge.
My PC having recently suffered a major hard drive failure, the day before I was scheduled to back everything up, in the process I lost all the music loaded on my iPod and my girlfriends. One PC rebuild later and I was looking for a solution to extract the music on the iPods to a folder on the new hard drive and as I said above yours was recommended so I bought it.
It worked flawlessly and saved me many many hours; so I just want to say thanks.

CopyTrans is FAB-U- LOUS software….I am a 66 year old retired grandfather who received an Ipod Touch for Christmas. I love the Ipod and had loaded over a thousand songs since New Year. In March I purchased a new computer and did not know that I could not upload my Ipod music and photos to my new computer with the iTunes software. I purchased a commercial software program from a major retailer that was going to fix the problem. Well after two days of trying to get the software to load and sync with the ITunes software, I gave up and started Googleing. (Should have Googled first) And Voila’, WindSolutions offered a free 14 day trial for Copy Trans a software program that purported to do exactly what I was trying to do. Well last night at about 11PM, I downloaded the software and within an hour or so I had transferred my 250 free songs and immediately purchased the software online and finished the iTune upload to the new computer. Copy Trans is easy to install, and use. I liked it so well that I purchased the other three complimentary programs. I am very happy to report that my Ipod is syncing with the new computer and not a single file/song or picture was lost. I consider myself a slightly above average computer user and I had absolutely no problems with the software. Your software worked great and I am looking forward to using ILibs on my wife’s new Ipod Nano. I am keeping your web site on my computer in case I, or anyone I know needs the repair software. Again thanks for the superb software.

You made my life a lot easier. I've been to at least 6 sites that claim they can do what you can, but they must think everyone in this world is a computer wiz. They exect me to know things like what folder itunes is stored in, and what port my ipod is in, I DONT KNOW ANY OF THAT STUFF! With your site, i press a few buttons and im done. I just bought your Copy Trans (copy to PC) to transfer 6,000 songs back to my PC because I lost my database and your application "rocks". It did what you said it would and it worked like a charm. I cannot tell you what I would have to go through if I had to manually rebuild that database, my playlists and my ratings.

I would just like to say that Copytrans is a great piece of software. My computer died thus losing my iTunes library for my iTouch.
The software allowed me to retrieve and backup all 1500 songs and artwork I had on my iTouch in less than 30 minutes, saving me so much time and effort.

I just wanted to say what a brilliant product Copytrans has provided here.
Having had a disaster and losing all my I Tunes library, I scoured the internet and was starting to despair until I came across your product. The despair soon disappeared and I just think this is one of the best products that I have ever come across. Simple, straightforward and it does exactly what it says on the tin.
You need to publicise it more widely. Everyone should have a copy for what it costs and nobody would need to worry again about losing their I Tunes Library.

Hi - just wanted to give my "official feedback" of this great product.
This might just be the best software I've ever purchased. It worked even better than promised - easy, idiot-proof and painless. And the support is amazing - fast, responsive, right on target. It worked for multiple user accounts on the same computer (the way we manage three different iTunes libraries) without a hitch. Well, I had one hitch, but it was totally user error related, and I just started over, no problem! One of the biggest (but understandable) drawbacks to iTunes/iPod is the lack of backup from the iPod, but now this problem is solved. My high-priced, very experience tech help couldn't help me with my iTunes issue when I changed computers, but this great $20 program did the trick. Thanks so much!

I had one of those nightmare moments after the computer I use at work was migrated to another server, my iTunes library was unintentionally deleted. I was worried that I lost years of accumulated media, ratings, playlists, etc in that library. I scoured Google for any way to extract the info from my iPod and restore it to my library. I found a review on iLounge(unsolicited) that rated your product as the best for what I was looking for. It was. I purchased it without hesitation, ran the restore and my library was back with all the meta info I wanted.

It's a far superior product to the other two I tried. Easier to use and understand...maybe they should write a book called iPods for Dummies. They also have a program called CopyTrans Doctor, which analyzes the iPod and also claims to be able to restore lost songs when other programs can't.

I sincerely want to thank you, not only for developing such wonderful programs, but for allowing a trial period so that I was able to test both CopyTrans and iCloner to see which would best suit my purposes.
I just purchased iCloner, but CopyTrans, too, worked as smoothly and did everything your website said it would. These are indeed programs that live up to their promises, are extremely simple and uncomplicated to use and fill a real need for iPod users!

I just purchased and used your CopyTrans program and it is absolutely amazing! My hard drive crashed a few weeks ago and I lost everything. Thankfully I had my music on my iPod. I called Apple who told me that I was out of luck and the music couldn't be recovered. I read all of your positive feedback but I was nervous about using your program to get the music off, just in case I lost everything. I downloaded the trial, purchased the full version, and in 2 clicks (literally) and about 15 minutes, your program had done everything - it recovered all of my iPod files and imported them to iTunes. My cousin also lost his hard drive and I'm going to recommend that he use CopyTrans to fix it since it's quick, easy, and wonderful.

My PC gave up the ghost over the Christmas holiday and with it went 13,000+ songs I had stored on my I tunes.
My songs were obviously still on my ipod but every where you looked up and read it seemed that it was at best a very complicated senario or time consuming having to load on every cd to restore my itunes to its former glory or at worst it was practically impossible.
Then I read about CopyTrans and reading the very positive reviews about ease of use thought that at $20 approx £10 it was worth an attempt; Quite honestly it the one of the best $20 d/£10 I have ever spent.
the ease of use and I am a tecnophobe! is remarkable.
Everything is there if things like play count /lists etc are important to you.to be frank I just wanted my Itunes back and got it mirror image.
I do not normally take the time out to do reviews but for anyone in my situation or similar I cannot compliment this product highly enough.

Wow!! what a product! It was a real lifesaver since we had lost our whole iTunes library of over 7,800 files and - as you can imagine - it was a real delight to get them all back again. Not only did it copy the files from the iPod back into iTunes but it created a new backup folder at the same time. Amazing!!
I have already recommended Copytrans to several workmates and family members today - it is the best £10 I have ever spent.

I just purchased CopyTrans and was easily able to transfer all my iPod content to iTunes, necessitated by a computer crash. My biggest concern was that there'd be a glitch, the transfer would fail and I'd lose all the content from the iPod. No problem. CopyTrans worked great. I won't hesitate to recommend it.

It's a terrific product. I regularly backup my 20 gb iPod, secure in the notion that I have a complete copy of its contents if anything happens to the device. Indeed, when I can't find the originally ripped or downloaded music on my PC's hard drive, I copy it from the CopyTrans copy on the external drive. It's a good safety net.

After researching numerous software products that promised to restore the music from my iPod to my iTunes, I purchased your CopyTrans software a few days ago. It saved the day for me. I sincerely appreciate the help you have given me. It was way and above what I have ever received from any support organization anywhere. You went beyond helping me with just the CopyTrans program and enabled me to solve my problem of moving an extensive music collection from my PC to my new Mac, saving all my playlists and song ratings. The CopyTrans program worked great and really facilitated the move. I had tried several other approaches suggested on Apple's web site and elsewhere on the Internet, but the result was the potential loss of over 1300 songs. With CopyTrans and your help I now have all my music converted to the Mac and am a giant step towards getting rid of the PC.

Hello I bought a licence for the Copytans Suite on Saturday and I wanted to thank you for your software - it does exactly what it says.
Also, I even managed to rescue a previously discarded 30GB iPod by running your beta Copytans Doctor. After a few attempts, the damaged iPod was detected and I hit the scan button. The software reported a number of bad sectors on the disk, quickly told me I had references to some files which were no longer on the disk and repaired it for me. I now have another iPod which synchronises beautifully with itunes. So thanks!!

Phenomenal program and support implementation!
Just wanted to say that I'm thrilled with all aspects of Copy Trans. After computer trouble trashed two years worth of work distilling a 2400 CD jazz collection into a 60G personal 'best-of', eliminating duplicate cuts, isolating and meticulously categorizing solos to learn by genre, instrument, artist, tempo, etc.; I was desperate. After thoroughly researching iPod copy options on the Web and with 'Geniuses', I chose Copy Trans. Purchase, documentation, download and setup were quick and painless. More importantly, the software works exactly as described. All of the available support, while reassuring, was completely unnecessary. Intuitive, glitch-free software that flawlessly copied all of my music, folders, and folder assignments back to my computer deserves a huge THANK YOU. I recommend this software without reservations to anyone in a similar situation.
I tried just letting your software listing the songs without me tampering with it, and everything worked fine. Before when nothing happened for a minute or more, I started clicking the title bar and pulling up task manager. This time I just told it to list songs and left the room, and everything worked as it is supposed to. Thanks much for your assistance. I really like your software, and am very happy with the prompt and courteous reply from your technical support.

Copytrans managed to back up my whole iPod back onto my iTunes when i deleted it all by mistake! Some 5801 songs.... I fully recommend the programme, and the staff answered all my questions and helped me along via email when i got stuck. Very helpful!

Hi there. this is a great resource should you lose your itunes library. it took about 30 minutes to put all of my 3700 songs back on my computer after I killed my itunes library. costs $20- I researched this site with ilounge and other places before downloading since i got lots of computer warnings about not knowing the site--great reviews. trial has limitations in # of songs you can retrieve in a session. I just bought the license and restored the library.

Just wanted to say Copytrans has saved my life. I have just moved country with my 1st gen 30G ipod as the only backup of my music. To my horror it is now gasping it's last breaths (locking up, not playing etc). Luckily I discovered your product and now have a backup. So if it dies suddenly I will have no qualms about upgrading to a new ipod!
Best $20 I ever spent. Just went through my first (hopefully last) harddrive crash, and foolishly hadn't backed up since purchasing and aggressively stocking an 80GB iPod six months ago. I had labored to rip my 400+ CD collection onto said iPod. Had I lost all that time, it would have been the sourest note of losing my many documents. I saved for a year to buy that iPod. I understand Apple's piracy concerns, but think they need to take a long look at this issue so many music lovers are experiencing. My harddrive crash along with my music library , iTunes and everything that has to do with my iPod. On top of everything else i lost my iTunes CD. So, it is only my iPod that my songs are saved. I purchased copytrans which has been a godsend ever since.

Here’s why: A month ago, my XP machine suffered from a defective hard drive. With over 6,000 tunes on my iPod (with quite a few being purchased), I had no way to restore iTunes before the crash. I even went to the Apple Store in my hometown and was told by one of the staff that they "legally bound" to offer no solutions for a problem like this. Fortunately, a high school teacher sitting next to me at the Genius Bar referred me to VersionTracker.com. After losing my playlists, I was faced with the aggravating task of recreating around 25 playlists with hundreds of songs. I did an internet search and found a couple free programs that promised to restore everything...well, they didn't work. Then I found CopyTrans. I was skeptical but I figured that $20 was definitely worth it if it worked. I downloaded it and it actually worked the first time. I contacted their support and they were extremely helpful. All I had to do was to unplug my ipod after the program did its magic and it had copied all the songs and playlists flawlessly. I highly recommend this program !!!

I just felt compelled to send you a quick note to let you know how happy I am that I found "CopyTrans"!
Last November my computer for some unknown reason lost all of my iTunesMusic (4,729 songs)...I panicked...all of my music was on my 30 Gig iPod and I was desperate to get my music back to my computer's iTunes program.
I bought a program called XXXXX. It promised to retrieve my music off of my iPod...NO LUCK! The program did NOT work...a couple of weeks later I purchased XXXXX, it too did NOT work! For about 8 weeks I was back and forth with their tech people and they could never get it to work! I lost hope...I was frustrated...I thought I would search the Internet one last time for a solution.
Google led me to your product "CopyTrans"...I was a little hesitant having already purchased two products that failed to perform. Well, I took a leap of faith and purchased "CopyTrans". Set-up was SUPER EASY!!! Instructions on how to make "CopyTrans" work were straight forward and simple to follow! Well, what do you know, all of my music is back into iTunes and I am now synchronizing between the two with no issues!
I wish someone could have told me about your product before I wasted my money on other software that promised to retrieve my music off of my iPod but failed to work. "CopyTrans" rocks and I will be recommending this program to ALL the iPod users I know!

It's so pleasant when something works correctly. Plus, the dollar trade-off was a no-brainer. Since I actually purchase music, there was at least a couple of thousand dollars worth of iTunes music that would have disappeared. Your software cost $20 bucks? Seemed like a reasonable trade-off.

Downloaded the trial. It worked in minutes, side-stepping my faltering iPod, getting the goods, and placing the first set of music directly in iTunes. Went back, purchased it, and that was that. After a couple of months of torture, I was fixed in about 45 minutes. Then I took the new iPod upgrader, zeroed out my iPod, and refilled it with the sweet sounds I love.

As Elton John said, “Someone saved my life”. I thought it was going to be a big production to get I-Tunes back to the way it was before. My PC crashed and I was afraid that if this didn’t work, my IPod would have wiped out all my music as well and I would be left having to rip all my songs again. That wasn’t the case. This program is excellent - easy quick and simple to use! - I had my music on external hard drive, plugged it from an XP machine to Windows2000 and lost everything but instead of having to reimport/repurchase, all I had to do was drag and drop from ipod using CopyTrans! - I know can be done without program, but interface etc. is excellent, and very user friendly... I want to thank you for putting out a great program. Since I bought it a couple of months ago, I've had to use it several times. My computer crashed and the only back-up I had was my ipod. All my hours of 4 plus gigs of music files would have been useless had it been up to Apple (in their defense, I called them to ask them if I could transfer my music back to my computer from my ipod and they said that they couldn't condone it, but if I wanted to go on the 'net and do the research myself, it could be done). The rest is history. Now I have my 1155 songs back in itunes where they belong. The small fee you charge is well worth it. I highly recommend anyone with an ipod, get this software! Thank you.
